Power 1 Group is a privately owned Contractor, who operate in the Infrastructure, Transport and Utility Sectors. The company specializes in Electrical Contracting, Power to the Mobile Communications Sector, Street Lighting - Maintenance & LED Retrofit and as Independent Connection Providers (ICP) with NERS Accreditation by Lloyds.

Formed in 2004, and incorporated in 2007, by current Managing Director Mark Ward, the company have developed key skills and relationships in line with a well thought out strategic business plan from our base in Paisley.

The company has recently received major contract awards in its street lighting and communications sectors, totaling £13 million, which has moved the company into a different bracket and underpins the initial growth planned for the Group over the next 5 years. The strategic plan sets out a target turnover of £30m by 2020. This will be achieved by considered growth in core markets, predominantly with trusted /current customers and partners whilst embracing like-minded new customers.

The company have invested heavily in the training and development of their 60 strong workforce, and developed key supply relationships over the previous three years. These relationships with blue chip companies and Local Authorities such as ;East Lothian, Inverclyde, South Lanarkshire, North Lanarkshire, Salford CC, Northumberland CC, Zumtobel Group,Wilkinsons Asda, Thorn Lighting, GallifordTry Construction, BAM Construction, CTIL, Mono Consulting and Maclean Electrical ensure that the company can deliver the very best in product, design and delivery across all the sectors we operate in.

Power One has carried out various electrical works over the years, from Hospital electrical supplies and distribution, Sub Station installation, to re-wiring and LED Retrofits in busy high street Stores such as Wilkinson and Asda. A varied and wide scope of electrical contracting works have also been completed for the clients listed above on many construction projects throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK.
